Julia Ormond

JuliaOrmond was the daughter of Josephine, a lab technician, and John Ormond (a stockbroker) who lived in Epsom, Surrey. Ormond is the second of five children to her parents. First, she attended Guildford High School and then Cranleigh School. There, her first lead roles in Guys and Dolls and My Fair Lady were noticed. After a single year of arts college, she was enrolled to Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. She graduated in 1988. Ormond first made an appearance on British TV in the drama Traffik that focused on the illicit heroin trade from the far East to the streets of Europe. Ormond was the heroin-addicted daughter of the leading character and was also a Home Office minister working to combat heroin importation. This role received glowing reviews from the very beginning.
