LeBron Raymone James Sr., born December 30, 1984 is an American professional basket ball player for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). King James is widely regarded as one of the best basketball players and is frequently in comparison to Michael Jordan when discussing the most famous player. James is the winner of four NBA Championships, four NBA MVP Awards, four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He also has 2 Olympic gold medals. James is an NBA All-Star and has the most playoff points, with the second most points in his career total, and the seventh highest career assist total. James is the NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, a record. James was also named for the NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. The ten NBA Finals is the most ever, including eight consecutively from 2011 to 2018. In 2018 James was also chosen for the team for NBA's 75th anniversary. In 2021, James was named to be part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022, he became the very first player to ever in NBA history to accumulate 10,000 or more career points in rebounds and assists. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High School in Akron Ohio. The national media celebrated him as an NBA star. He was in the process of becoming a professional and was selected as the highest choice from the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft in 2003. He was named one of the NBA player of the year for 2004. Soon he became one of the top athletes of the NBA, winning both the NBA MVP Award both the years 2009 and 2010. James went free agency in 2010 after failing to earn championships in Cleveland. The decision to leave Cleveland for Miami Heat, announced on The Decision, a popular television show The Decision, is considered among the most controversial free agent moves in sports history.
