Dua lipa, a British singer/songwriter born August 22, 1995 in London. Dua Lipa signed to Warner Bros Records in 2014 after working as a model and dropped her debut album, self-titled in the year 2017. It peaked in at the third spot in the U.K. albums chart and featured eight songs, including The U.K. top-ten single New Rules and the number one single Be the One. I.D.G.A.F. Lipa received the Brit Awards in 2018 for British Female Solo Artist as well as British Breakthrough Act. The album has been certified as platinum in a variety of countries. Dua Lipa, born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London on August 22, 1995. Her mother is Bosnian. Her family tree can be traced back to Kosovo Peja city. Peja. Lipa's two grandfathers are both historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa and a sibling Rina. Lipa was heavily influenced by music by her father, who is the principal guitarist and singer in the Kosovan Rock band Oda. At home her father continued to play music such as his music and compositions, as well as songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was 5 years old. When she was nine years old, Lipa started singing in her school, the Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has covered songs like If I Ain't Got You and Beautiful of Christina Aguilera, both on YouTube. Lipa was approached for an agreement to record by Warner Bros. Records in 2014. In August of 2015 her debut single New Love came out.
